Yuma

Electra Three-Ten To Yuma is a delightful dog who lives with my mom in Kamiah, Idaho. He is caring, playful, energetic and attentive. He’s his own dog and has a confident personality. He barks when someone new arrives, but his watchdog demeanor rapidly dissipates and is replaced by friendly greetings.

Yuma’s nickname is “Boufy” because he’s such an entertaining clown at times. It also makes it so easy to call him in with a “BOOB-BOOP” intonation. Yuma is one of the most flexible Boston Terriers ever which contributes to his springy antics. He can make a pretzel seem straight.

Although he’s comedic at times, he has a watchful eye and is very much aware of what’s happening. Yuma will sit and take on a sphinxlike pose, close his eyes and put his nose to the wind, breathing in all that is wafting on the breeze.

Yuma loves his second-best watchdog duty; keeping the voracious garden-eating deer away.

I believe Yuma is an antelope in disguise as he never tires of chasing balls. The farther it flies the better he likes it. Yuma is extraordinarily athletic and easily outpaces the horses in the backcountry. He logs countless extra miles scouting the trail, chasing chipmunks, and flushing an occasional bird. He is good in camp and is appreciated on cool nights nestled at our feet keeping us toasty, or maybe we’re keeping him happily warm.

Yuma is one of the best all-around family dogs. We are proud to have him as part of our lives.
